    BUSINESS PURPOSE

The purpose of this activity is to prepare a Detail estimate and schedule for the activities in Phase 4.

    OVERVIEW

When preparing the Phase 4 Detail estimate and schedule, Enterprise Engineering should consult the Order-of-Magnitude (O-O-M) Estimate and Schedule as prepared in earlier phases. The O-O-M is recorded on the "Project Estimate/Schedule Recap" which is maintained in the Technical Library. It lists the anticipated time, cost and schedule for each phase in the project, including Phase 4.

    STEPS IN EXECUTION

    1. Enterprise Engineering obtains a copy of the O-O-M "Project Estimate/Schedule Recap" from the Technical Library.

    2. Enterprise Engineering prepares a Detail estimate and schedule for the activities of Phase 3 which is reviewed with Project Management. The estimate may be either accepted, rejected or modified.

    3. Enterprise Engineering returns the "Project Estimate/Schedule Recap" to the Technical Library for filing.
