    TECHNIQUES

    Prepare a Detail estimate and schedule to perform all of the activities in Phase 4-I.

    Decompose each administrative procedure in the sub-system into operational steps. The objective is to prepare instructions that are easy to understand and implement by the user.

    TOOLS

    During this activity, use the following types of tools:

    1. Project Estimating tool to calculate the number of hours required to perform the work, and to calculate phase costs.

    2. Project Scheduling tool to calculate project schedules while balancing the workload of human resources.

    3. Documentation Aid to write procedures. Use of "spell checker/thesaurus" type tools should be encouraged.

    4. Repository to record procedures and operational steps.
