TECHNIQUES

Software Engineering provides assistance to Data Base Administration in the preparation of the physical file layouts and file structures. In particular, this includes input/output related files. The primary files are normally prepared by the DBA.

In the absence of a true Data Resource Management organization, Software Engineering becomes responsible for the preparation of physical file structures.
