BUSINESS PURPOSE
The purpose of this activity is to review the test results
with the computer procedure designer to assure that all
program/module objectives were met.
OVERVIEW
After the program/module has been tested and all known
errors corrected, Software Engineering reviews the program with
the computer procedure designer, Project Management, and Systems
Resource Management. They review the results of program testing
and assure that the program meets specifications, both as to
logic and environment.
As a result of this phase, Software Engineering has
produced an executable program documented by:
- Annotated source code listing or equivalent.
- Machine processable object code.
- Test input and output.
STEPS IN EXECUTION
- Software Engineering reviews the results with the computer
procedure designer, Project Management, and Systems
Resource Management. The purpose of the review is to
obtain agreement that the specifications have been met.
- Software Engineering files the program source listing
accordingly. This can be accomplished either through a
program librarian/documentation aid, or printed copies can
be maintained in the Technical Library.
- Software Engineering closes the phase and forwards project
documentation to the Technical Library for filing.
